First off, it's worth noting that currently, Outfunnel does not provide a fully automatic reply tracking functionality but there are a few workarounds that work almost as effectively as an automated solution and can be used to stop the active sequence when a prospect replies.

The below solutions are applicable when used in combination with our automated email sequences and when you are using Pipedrive as your CRM.

Stage based solution (semi-automatic)

For this solution, you'd need to have an open deal for the target contact in your Pipedrive and manually move it to the next stage in your pipeline when they reply. Moving the deal to a new stage, removes the contact from the filter and the sequence.

Step 1: Create a Person filter with the conditions that form the target audience you'd like to send the sequence to: 

  • Deal > status > is > open (so that the filter only includes open deals)
  • Deal > stage > is > [insert stage] (you can also include multiple stages as in the example below)

Step 2: Set up an automated email sequence in Outfunnel and target it to the newly created filter.
Step 3: When a contact replies, manually move the related deal to a stage that is not added to the filter. This will stop the sequence for the given contact.

"Last email received" based solution (automatic but limited to new contacts)

For this solution, you need to have an active email sync between Pipedrive and your inbox and send the sequence to contacts that have never emailed you before.

Step 1: Create a Person filter with the condition to exclude contacts who have emailed you in the past.

Step 2: Add any other person, organization, deal and activity fields as conditions to get to the desired target audience.
Step 3: Set up an automated email sequence in Outfunnel and target it to the newly created filter.
Step 4: When a contact replies, their email shows up in Pipedrive and they will stop matching the filter. This will stop the sequence for the given contact.
