Our email marketing tool lets you send one-off email campaigns as well as automated email sequences that tightly integrate with CRMs, like Pipedrive, HubSpot, and Copper.
Outfunnel automatically records email engagement in your CRM with the following default settings:
- Emails sends are recorded as a Note
- Emails opened, clicked, bounced, unsubscribed are recorded as a custom activity (that you can later filter in your CRM)
You can edit the default email engagement recording settings in Email settings > Engagement recording. Currently, the engagement is synced for all supported CRMs but HubSpot and Copper users are not able to turn off certain engagement types yet.
How to customize recording email engagement:
1. In Outfunnel > Account > Email settings page, open Engagement recording
2. Choose how you’d like email activities like sends, opens, clicks, bounces or unsubscribes recorded in the CRM.
You can change these settings at any time by opening the automation and making the changes.
That’s it! You’ve changed the defaults and all new email engagement is synced to Pipedrive accordingly.
Tips, observations, and useful definitions:
💡 Notes vs Activities. Activities are usually filterable in a CRM, whereas notes are not. At the same time, too many activities might create unnecessary clutter so you may want to sync less telling but more frequent events (eg. email sends or opens) as notes.
